Nail file and polisher are essential accessories for hybrid manicure. They are useful for both applying and removing the hybrid. Choosing a nail file is not that easy!
Files and Nail Polishers
What are the differences between files and which one to choose? Which one is best for your nails? Which file to use to remove hybrid? Read on, we will try to dispel all doubts.
Files for hybrid or acrylic nails will be slightly different than those, which we should use for natural nail plate. A file for hybrid, or basically... what kind of file? Well, that's it. Files differ mainly in gradation, or "sharpness". In the product description you will find different values: 80, 100, 180, 240. They indicate the number of abrasive particles on each 1cm square of the file. The lower the number, the sharper the file. The 80 to 180 grit files can handle gel, acrylic and hybrid nails. On the other hand, 180-240 are designed for natural nail plate.
Which is the best file to remove hybrid? Start with a sharp one, which can remove the top coat, e.g. size 100. Later you can change to a more delicate file, e.g. 180. When you get rid of the color layer and most of the base coat, it should be smoothed with a polisher.
In our hybrid store you will find two-sided files, which are therefore marked 100/180.
The nail polisher is used to matt the nail plate, once you have shaped it to the right shape and you are ready to paint. This is a step that should not be skipped. If your nails are not properly matted, your manicure may not last as long.
